Urbanscapes, London II
My urbanscapes series are inspired by symmetry and structures I find everywhere I go. Both these features and the dereliction of urban shapes play a vital role in my inspirational processes.
Sometimes it is just an occurence of colour in an otherwise grey environment that catches my attention, sometimes I find beauty simply in symmetry or structures or a combination of both.
Many times I find myself astounded when focusing on an apparently simple and—what many would consider to be—unattractive setting, giving my brain time to put the visual impression into different perspectives. With every moment passing, the scene becomes more complex and somewhat clearer in its overall structure and beauty, It reveals features that are unlikely to be seen in the very beginning of the contemplating process.
Lastly, once a photograph has been taken and some time has passed between capturing the scene and reviewing and editing it on a computer, every scene undergoes another transfiguration: by cutting away distracting elements that were originally surrounding the captured scene and embracing it as an integrated part of it it’s clarity and beauty come to view once more and intensify into a strong character of individuality.
